Zachariah N. Barnes I, M. Div

Pastor

We at Zion Chapel thank our Lord Jesus Christ for sending our way Zachariah N. Barnes I.  He and his beautiful family, wife Michelle, sons Zachariah N. Barnes II, Asher and daughter Naomi, are a blessing to our church. Zachariah is originally from Nashville, TN and Michelle is from Yakima, WA. They met while in college serving on a worship team for a collegiate ministry togehter and have been married since October 31, 2017.


Zachariah's educational background: Studied Vocal performance in Opera and musical composition at Washington State University, and completed his Bachelors of Science in Worship Studies and Masters of Divinity in Professional Chaplaincy: Military Cognate at Liberty University. He is currently pursuing a Ph. D in Biblical studies with an emphasis on the Old Testament and the Hebrew language.


Zachariah's goal is to recruit, disciple and grow biblical leaders to fulfill the Great Commission by preaching the Word of God.  He stands firm in his belief that nothing in the Bible is a coincidence and God's Word is the final authority on ALL things. Zachariah has served in churches in TN, FL, WA, SC, PA, and now VA. He is dedicated to the service of the church, he serves as the Chaplain for Gretna Fire and Rescue, and he seeks to minister to God's people through the talents and gifts the Lord has so richly given to him.
